Our ongoing research projects

It is in our nature that we like to share our knowledge.

As a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE), we are located at a key position between research and industry.

You as an industrial company have the opportunity to benefit from research results by participating in one of our research projects in the first place.

ENIT Agent 2.0+ (Invest BW)

Based on the existing energy monitoring, ENIT would like to expand the product range and create the possibility for medium-sized industrial companies to determine and compare their CO2 footprint with little effort.

Spot market-linked variable electricity tariffs for medium-sized industry

GaIN (BMWi) Profitable participation of medium-sized industry in the energy market of the future

Battery storage for industrial companies DABESI

Data-driven design and operational management of decentralized electrical storage systems in manufacturing medium-sized industrial enterprises (DABESI).

Selection and dimensioning of electrical storage systems, design and operation of a hybrid storage system.

DigiTwin4PV

Digital twin of the electrotechnical infrastructure for PV system integration (ZIM)

FlexGUIde

Toolset for low-threshold participation of medium-sized industry in the energy market of the future

ENIT Agent 2.0+ (Invest BW)

CO2 Calculator ENIT Agent

Based on the existing energy monitoring, ENIT would like to expand the product range and create the possibility for medium-sized industrial companies to determine and compare their CO2 footprint with little effort.

Spot market-linked variable electricity tariffs for medium-sized industry - GaIN

Industrial hall with ventilation system

The aim of the project is to enable companies to participate actively and profitably in the energy market of the future by digitizing (medium-sized) industry. As a basis, reallabs will be established in medium-sized industrial companies and novel electricity products for SMEs will be designed on the basis of local energy management data.

Battery storage for industry - DABESI

Dabesi Research Project

DABESI - Data-driven Design and Operational Management of Decentralized Electrical Storage Systems in Manufacturing SMEs (DABESI)

The aim of the project is to provide medium-sized industrial companies with a cost-effective and efficient power supply with the help of storage systems. In this research project, ENIT provides the data basis of suitable application partners.

Participation: We are looking for companies where measurements and analyses can be carried out. Your added value is the free of charge equipment by an energy monitoring by ENIT as well as a well-founded decision basis whether the use of a storage in your company is worthwhile.

Period: 2020-2023

Funded by: Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy

Toolset for low-threshold participation of medium-sized industry in the energy market of the future

The overall objective of the joint project "FlexGUIde - Toolset for low-threshold participation of medium-sized industry in the energy market of the future" is to research and apply communication technologies and methods of digitization and artificial intelligence in order to provide medium-sized industrial companies with low-threshold access to the energy market of the future. FlexGUIde takes up research results from previous projects (in particular the project "GaIN - Profitable participation of medium-sized industry in the energy market of the future"), with the aim of a short to medium-term implementation.
